If we cook a breakfast at home (and its rare these days on health grounds) say on a Sunday morning we put the plates in the oven to heat up a wee bit. I am surprised how many establishments decant hot food on to icy cold plates and by the time it has reached the table the food has gone cold, greasy, and unappetising. In this respect our Ullapool digs were poor last week but the Brora accommodation was excellent. I'd go there again.
