Deception

Perfect weather for our last day and we found some nice pockets of cold snow in among the trees. As always in the mountains, blue skies and sunshine don't last long and tomorrow's forecast is for 6" of snow.

Deceptive also because although the slope looks flat, in the trees the bumps grow to scary proportions and unlike in the bowls, options for making turns is restricted.

I managed to mitigate the worst of the sun flare in this image. The conifers look a bit weird, perhaps because I tilted the phone camera up causing distortion from the wide lens.
