First tulips

We woke up to sunshine and it was warm! The cold wind had disappeared. I flung open the doors and windows and immediately the gloom of yesterday was gone. Sunshine always brings on the urge to do housework, and then I spent time in the garden. Normous gave the grass its second cut and it was good to see the stripes.
These tiny tulips have been in flower for a week, but it was not until today’s sunshine that they opened right up.
