Much Ado
About nothing.
There was much ado this afternoon, as I was helping with a holiday club. Just a half-day thing, but nevertheless very tiring! The theme was 'going bananas', which involved some pretty crazy things, like desert islands, giant, blow-up bananas, and Mary Magdalene from the Easter story appearing out of the 'Time Shed' and onto the desert island, to tell the people there that Jesus was alive! So yes, pretty crazy, but really fun. I was looking after a group of Primary 1s (first year primary school). So cute! They did struggle to concentrate a bit, though. We did craft activities, played games, watched a video, and of course watched Mary come out the Time Shed.
I helped Andrew take down the Time Shed afterwards. It's a very rickety structure, about six feet tall and three feet square, made of bits of wood and brown paper, with a curtain that doesn't quite fit on the hooks. It was very difficult to take down and put back in the church cupboard!
This morning I watched the film pictured above, whilst embroidering. Nice and peaceful and restful, in anticipation of the afternoon to come!
