Early evening sky over the Harry Gow shop above North Kessock. Some welcome shelter here, from the hoolie of a side wind blowing with horizontal rain that made the cycle over the Kessock Bridge a challenging struggle. Busy day with tragic news of one of the Staff that I barely knew.
Latest virus related news is that face-to-face teaching of Students will end at 5pm on Friday, until further notice. In the supermarket this evening, for the first time since the middle of last week, and panic buying has reached us. Heading straight for the main item required was a wise move, and one of the last loaves of bread was added to the basket. The panickers must be filling their freezers, and stuff everyone else. I wonder how much of their selfishness/greed or whatever you wish to call it, will end up as wasted food. Just as well that I generally keep a good stock of long lasting food items, mainly as I'm limited by what can be taken on the bike when things are needed. When no perishables are required, often stocking up on the heavier non-perishables. Have always hated running out of stuff.
