Afternoon walk.

Today after we'd walked the dogs and I'd given the bathroom walls a final coat of paint we headed off to John Lewis for some bits for the bathroom. It was deserted, but at least we felt we weren't battling through crowds. After the speculation yesterday that the over 70's (Which Jeff is) could be placed in 'lock down' for the foreseeable future we thought we'd better get what we needed asap. As it turned out the guidelines haven't changed too much more, although I do think everyone is keeping their distance from others. The worrying thing is that Jodie, who is 7 months pregnant now moves into the 'vulnerable' group. Tomorrow she will go into work, clear her desk and work from home until her maternity leave starts. Trouble is, Franky is still at school, and Dean as a firefighter can't work from home. Worrying times.

It was a beautiful day and so I nipped out with my camera to a local beauty spot, it was packed. Probably most felt it was a safe bet and we were able to keep a distance from each other. Makes one appreciate how we take our freedom of movement for granted, and somehow appreciate the simple things in life more, it really was rather lovely up there.

I thought I'd have a little play with abstract photography as we had a wonderful presentation at camera club by chantler63 a few weeks ago and I hadn't really had the time to try various techniques out. I was quite pleased with my main picture as I'd never tried this before.

Extras are the Monument at the top, and another ICM photo of the Silver Birch trees and the Gorse which was in flower.

Got to add - Just shown Jeff these pictures - His comments -" Bit blurred, isn't it" That was a statement, not a question!  The second one "That's better". The third "That's crap". Safe to say he doesn't like abstract ....... Unless he's a budding camera club judge!!!!
