Emergency Blip
Lying in bed and realised I hadn't taken a photo today. It's kind of fitting as my asthma has been on my mind a lot lately. Had my annual review last week. They've put me on to a new inhaler to try and better control my symptoms. This one is a combined preventer/reliever but they both last for 24 hours unlike my last one which was 12/3 hours. Here's hoping it gets my cough under control so people stop looking at me like I just killed a puppy!
In trying to find out a bit more advice around managing my asthma to be as well as possible should Covid-19 get me, I learned something new. I've had asthma for about 20 years (more severely in the last 5). I have always known that the annoying dry persistent cough I get was a symptom. It's always there, it's just something I have and I don't pay it much thought. Today I learned those times I can't stop coughing are actually me having an asthma attack! I always thought asthma attacks needed the wheeze! I think I've been under reporting my symptoms to the asthma nurse!
