Day 3: Deserted Highway

The motorway is empty under a rain-filled sky. Duke and I have just returned from a walk in the hills and this is a view I've never seen before.

Not a vehicle in sight. Occasionally a big lorry would rumble down the road towards Gibraltar, so supplies are getting through, but not much else.

Strangely, however, when I went to the supermarket this morning, there was no queue to get in, no crowds once inside, and plenty of fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables. There were a few bare shelves but nothing I needed.

In fact it was a very pleasant experience and I rather wished it could be like this every day.

Well, perhaps it will.
