Only shop open

The only shop open at Schiphol airport was Albert Heijn where you could pick up some groceries. All the cafes, restaurants and shops were closed, how different from just a few days ago. The plane was half empty and people spread around to keep a distance.
So leaving a feeling of apocalypse and then entering the UK where everything seemed ‘normal’. Is it? So weird. Haven’t they heard? Or are the Europeans just paranoid ?
