Purple sprouting broccoli

We visited the garden centre this afternoon to buy compost for the allotment as the potatoes need planting.  There isn't much growing on the allotment but this purple sprouting broccoli is looking very good.  I thought the green leaves could cover the green for St Patricks Day and the tiny purple flowers for the Tiny Tuesday aspect.

This morning was the last of the normal sized gym classes, they are reducing class sizes by 50% as well as all the hand washing, equipment spraying procedures.  It was also a water fitness class so at least the stint in the pool was safe.  Not sure how long this will last though.  All other activities, photography, bookclub, U3A meeting and group walking have been cancelled.
