St Patrick’s Day
Usually the supermarket is full of shamrocks and signs encouraging everyone to purchase some of Dublin’s finest product!
Today there was very little available, the panic buying of everything seems to continue, very little meat, no tinned veg, limits set on certain items. Maybe some priorities have changed, or the greed is just spreading as even the wine and beer shelves were depleted. The car park was full, where usually in the week it is quite empty. I called in for some Guiness to celebrate st Patrick’s day, others had big shopping trolleys piled with food, I’m sure much of it will be wasted.
We had tea at Gemma and Bens tonight as tomorrow is Gemma’s birthday. My eldest sister would normally visit for her birthday but has already text Gemma to say, sensibly that she’s not going to go round.
