Mark, Mark and Des, my trusty plumbers caught for a quick team photo at the end of a tough job.

My mother's old house that my girlfriend and I have taken on as a renovation project, has a combination of concrete ground floors and upper floors with layers of deadening.

The guys know what theyre doing alright but the floorboards have taken a hell of a beating! We left the house tonight with a totally renewed heating system boiler, pipes, the lot. I was delighted, however that they still managed to re-use the old original cast iron radiators.

That's the electrics and heating done - two great steps forward. We now have a third trcky hurdle looming - the supporting wall removal.....
