Moss and lichen

When I was out in the garden today, I noticed, amongst the moss on the rockery, some tiny lichen than looked like goblets so I tried taking a close-up of them. This is the result.

I had an appointment for a dental check-up today but just as I arrived the dentist had received up-dated instructions not to carry out any treatment except in extreme emergencies. Anyway, it wasn't a wasted journey as I was able to pick up some things from the pharmacy and the Co-op for ourselves and our neighbours.
