Carol's Painting
This germophobe (me) went to the local grocery store this morning. I wore an N95 mask and gloves. My biggest concern was bringing the virus home to PD, so I was taking no chances. The store wasn't crowded and most people were keeping a good distance away - except for one man who brushed against me as he passed. He obviously hasn't been watching the news. When I got home, we sprayed everything (except the produce, which we carefully washed) with Lysol before we brought it inside. Then I went straight to the washing machine with my clothes and then to the shower and scrubbed myself! Overkill? I hope so...
There were other "oldies" in the store with masks and gloves but most younger people were touching everything with bare hands and letting their kids run around and touch everything. I even saw one little girl sucking on a closed juice bottle from the basket she was sitting in. I couldn't wait to get home!
By the time I got home and clean, I didn't feel like going out for a ride or walk, so I'm wearing my comfy clothes and catching up on Blip instead. Of course I didn't have any photos so I decided (with her permission) to photograph this painting that my sister gave me several years ago. She spent a few years painting every day and then she just stopped. I can relate because I do that with hobbies when I've spent too much time on them. But if I could paint, I think I would keep it up!
We are hunkered down now awaiting a blizzard that is supposed to start during the night and last about 24 hours. We're not expecting a lot of snow here, 1-3 inches in the forecast, but the wind is going to be about 50 mph. Stay tuned....
I am grateful that I was able to find everything I wanted at the store today, although lots of shelves were empty. Now we have enough milk and bread and produce for at least a week.
Stay safe and well, my friends!
