Brightening My Day

These are dark days in this crazy world! But flowers still grow and they’re like a ray of sunshine!

I was supposed to go to Birmingham today for a 2-day city break while taking Alfie the Campervan to my specialist mechanic for a service, MOT, and to have numerous other (slightly expensive) works done.

As things have developed in the last couple of days and it looks as if I won’t be working for some time, I decided to cancel the trip and get the very basics of work done locally. I probably won’t be without pay entirely, but there are many unknowns and it’s time to tighten the belt and only spend what is absolutely necessary. Plus, being on a city break started to NOT sound like fun, although there would have been plenty of restaurants who would have loved to have had my business.

Things are changing very fast and there are MANY more people FAR worse off than I am. While becoming a bit of a news junkie I’ve loved hearing the stories of so many people who are doing amazing things in the community. It’s time to be very kind to one another and to help where we can.
