Hexagons of monstera deliciosa fruit

Here is another example of hexagons in nature. Others include bee hives and basalt columns.

The main photo shows a new fruit whose petal only opened a couple of days ago. I'm hoping it will still be OK for tomorrow. The extra shows a more mature fruit but still not ripe. I may not eat them in any case.
