Slowing down

We are self quarantined, and for now I am enjoying this quiet time - having nowhere to go and nothing that must be done.

Today I could slow down and look deeply at things. This mahonia (Oregon Grape) is our state flower, but not a very flashy one. I appreciated the pink buds as they’re about to bloom - I’ve never noticed this before.

The extra is of hyacinths - I loved the color peeking out from along the fence line.
