Grey Hair!
Some of mine under a x10 objective on my old microscope and using cross polarised filters (one in the tube before the camera body, and one below the slide). Mounted in baby oil (the nice smelling stuff that stops babies sqeaking). Focusing is a pain so I need to find a better way than creaking my neck (baby oil?) to try to look down a gloomy eyepiece. Detail of the hairs' medulla (central core), cortex (fibrous bulk) and maybe -if you use a bit of imagination- the surface covering of cuticle (scales visible sometimes as fine lines across the hair surface). Depth of field is much sub-millimetre so focusing is not easy -its hard to choose what to focus and what to leave blurred).
