A cookie

So it looks like I managed to really screw up my laptop hdd :-( It won't even boot now, I think I borked the MBR :'-( I thought I might be able to repair it using another of my PCs and the original Windows 7 disc but it won't boot (apparently the motherboard isn't compatible). After trying multiple boot loaders and swearing a lot, I've given up on that. I've got another PC (2 actually) I could try but one was in use and the other has no VGA cable!

So I've given up for the day... tomorrow I start getting mean! Maybe it would be easier to just buy a new laptop... but that costs money.
