The Snout
A bleak walk with the spaniel on the chalk downs above Lewes this morning. The landscape was enveloped in thick low cloud making the town all but invisible and silent. This is a favourite haunt in the summer - the Snout usually has a good showing of Adonis Blue butterflies and is famous for its Silver-spotted skipper colony.
