Clear View

Still housebound with the cold bug but the slow improvement continues. Saw today on social media that one of our neighbours had heard my coughing in the night so hopefully I will disturb their sleep less as well as mine as I get better. It might just be imagination, or a particularly clear afternoon, but taking the view of Inchkeith from the bedroom window today (and that's from behind glass) and looking closely at the images I was struck how clearly I could see the ruined buildings on the island. Could it be there is visibly less pollution? Seems unlikely and it's probably just a particularly favourable afternoon to admire the view but as the reduction in activity continues maybe there will be more visible environmental changes, like the clear water in Venice's canals.
