Wild Garlic Pesto
I spent a happy few minutes making this from some wild garlic which I picked the other day at Minterne Magna Gardens. I’d never done it before and I was pleased with it .
It helped to calm me .
After going into Sherborne and seeing shops closing, as well as receiving news that the restaurant where we taking Paul’s Mum for Mothering Sunday lunch, was closing for the foreseeable
future , I was glad of a brief distraction.however, I am relieved we are not going out with her . So we are cooking for the family at our house.
I had a fun Skype with my sister and niece as they are in the Midlands and I would have seen them on Sunday .
Jack, my eldest stepson is stuck in Africa, in the Ivory Coast where he works . His leave is due in a couple of weeks .
I listened to the end of Pm on Radio 4 playing Caliban’s Dream from the opening of the London Olympics . Evan Davis clearly felt tearful afterwards - I was crying too - such a time of optimism and hope and now .........this .
Take care everyone.
