Hello, blackbird

After I snapped the picture, he seemed to become very interested in a browner-coloured blackbird at the other end of the garden. 

Off he hopped with his tail in the air, looking proper lively.

Perhaps understandably, he seemed entirely indifferent to the news that all exams have been cancelled.
