Snake here so beware!

We were taking a walk today at a state park and were being very cautious with the dog on her leash as the park does have alligators.   Jerry had to jerk her back when she was almost upon this snake resting in the water.   We don't think it is poisonous as it looks like a brown water snake.  We never saw a gator!    But I can tell you after this photo, we left the trail! 

The office decided to close for the next week or so since there was nothing that required us to be there.   Being safe.    At last count there were 60 confirmed cases here with many being in the same county (not where I live) so hoping the spread will be contained as people are being very cautious.    However, when we went to the state park there seemed to be a normal amount of cars on the road between our house and the park.    And the gas stations were doing a brisk business as gas is down to 1.52 per gallon at some places.   

I have to make a quick grocery store trip tomorrow for dog food and some bread and hopefully some fresh fruit.
