Just Quickly

Spent all afternoon at the park/beach today. Lots of learning fun to be had there for free. (Well not entirely, I did buy ice cream for us all)

I chose this blip though as it shows something quick you can throw together to keep the children busy while cooking dinner.

I asked Pickle if he would like to help make dinner but he wanted to do more shapes.

So I grabbed some paper, coloured pens & these Popsicle sticks out of the craft box and 2 minutes later, Pickle and RaaRaa are busy matching the sticks to the shapes on the paper.

This was a bit easy for Pickle so he made the shapes on the carpet, copying the shapes rather than placing the sticks on the paper.

This held their interest long enough for me to cook dinner then we all sat down and made BIG multi-coloured shapes on the floor with all the sticks.


Thinking I might start laminating some of these bits of paper to keep in a folder so the boys can come back to them anytime they want.
