Indoor flowers
The flower-stand has been staying open these past few days, in defiance of regulations (since it would be difficult to justify cut flowers as “essential”), and I stopped by on my walk. “We’re staying open until we can get rid of the stock,” said the flower-seller. So I bought her last four stems of red lilies. Not my usual purchase—she knows me as “the iris lady”—but they actually look nice in situ, and she was glad to be brought one step closer to closing.
