Early Signs

Sunlight streaming through the trees across a woodland pond, highlights bright yellow/green algae beginning to grow on decayed leaves floating on the surface. In between, patches of water reflect the blue sky above providing a nice contrast that helps to emphasize the lighter tones.

With quite a long focal length, I think I could have used a smaller aperture for more depth of field, however the out of focus branches in the foreground seem to help mitigate some of the softness.
