We sat on a bench nearby and listened to the First Minister’s briefing re the coronavirus. It was a stark warning, the public (particularly young people) need to act much more responsibly, much more control will follow, more announcements imminent. First day of Spring 2020. It’s going to be memorable.

We continued our walk through the woods, and maintained an appropriate distance from the few folks we encountered.

Back for lunch in the conservatory. It was sunny, and warm inside. I suspect there’ll be more frost overnight.

We’ve heard there’s lots of activity at schools today as they enter the new era. A sad period, as many are finishing schools prematurely, and there’s anxiety re exam results/grades etc. No doubt there’ll be more about schools and wider sanctions this evening.
