Desperate times call for desperate measures

None of us could have predicted these days. I have worked in the veterinary profession for 27 years and it seems we are a little ahead of the game when it comes to following the rules. We have a locked door policy...vulnerable owners wait in the car while we examine their pets and talk to their people by phone or through car windows. We do have Spanish vets who can tell us how bad it is in their homeland. Not scaremongering but very sobering .

So I intend to do my daily blip. Yesterday it all became real. The clients who used to buy food off the internet now tell us it has gone up in price and we are still selling it at rrp. There is no chicken and rice on the shelf so they turn to us for our special food which was suspiciously turned away previously.

We can no longer hug and comfort our owners , but we can still care deeply for their pets.
