Snow in the woods

It's still deep snow and more is forecast for this afternoon. The main roads are reasonably clear and our little roads are passable with care, so I decided to drive down to Pipe Hall Woodland and risk their car park.

It was glorious. The usual dogs were livelier than usual - bounding and making the most of the snow. But it was surprisingly deserted.

We don't have this wonderful snow scenery very often so why were people not taking advantage of this crisp beauty ?
