By the River, Downtown....

When Maisie and I go walking on the tracks along the lower Taylor River we head to the downtown section now called “The Quays”. The building beside the river is a very popular cafe/restaurant called “Raupo”. Maisie and I cross the River via the nearby “Crinoline Bridge” and head back to the start of our walk via the true right bank. It is about 4 kms of well maintained concrete paths and is a pretty walk. The corona virus, Covid-19, is becoming a real worry for many of us here in New Zealand, particularly the elderly, which includes Keith and me and most of our neighbours.
