At last

Snowed a bit during the day but also lots of sunshine. By late afternoon had turned cold so went to Ottobeuren for the Bannwald forest walk. Just after we set off, there was a snow "blizzard" and 5 minutes later in town, every vehicle in orange with salting gear and snowplough at the ready was whizzing around using the opportunity to practice snow & ice clearing, something they haven't done for a year. It was 16:58 too, which meant no doubt it was on double pay overtime!

Even the Basilica car park was getting the treatment but as much as they no doubt wished, there was never enough to lower the ploughs. The extra photo shows how much came down!
