Underground Art

The underpass beneath the A68 at the bottom of the Canongate has been enlivened by some murals. There's no information about who painted them. They certainly cheer up a very dull passageway.

We were outside for a lot of the day, working in the garden. TM had the cultivator going, getting the vegetable patch ready for planting.  I raked/picked up last year's leaves in the top corner of the drive garden, where the fritillaries are. They are nearly opening their lovely chequered flowers and were hardly visible amongst the dead leaves. It was a fiddly job - next year I must do it before the flowers are up!

It's Nico's birthday today. Alas, her party was cancelled, but she didn't seem bothered. She had a rather spectacular cake with fireworks (lots of sparklers) and sweets on top. They will be eating it for weeks.
