A little slice of sanity
in a world gone mad.
Although there were a few grannies who would have begged to differ when they saw me take off my clothes, run to the edge in the bitter wind and dive in.
There is no explaining to them the instantaneous jolt of electricity from the sudden immersion in the sea.
The tightening of all the blood vessels.
The rush of adrenaline.
That big breath of cold salty air when resurfacing.
The feeling of being so totally alive. And not actually feeling cold. Electric more so.
