Ice house?
Today my social distancing took place down near the English border. I met a friend in Coldstream and although weird not being able to hug hello/goodbye we still companionably walked along the Tweed and had a lovely catch up despite having to keep our distance from each other.
Luckily, like us, she also lives in a tiny hamlet in beautiful countryside so is finding it much easier than our city/town-dwelling friends. We barely saw a soul apart from some keen fishermen on the Tweed and the odd dog walker but Nine Mile Burn (& the Flotterstone down the road) was rammed with people flocking to the hills - not sure how I feel about people from towns/cities with much more exposure risk bringing it out here but understand why they’re doing it - think it’ll just bring on a total lockdown even quicker :(
Loved the tree and roots on the top of what I assume must’ve been an ice house in its day. Just stunning.
