Meditation Garden
Schools out, including my 5 year old, great/great nephew’s Nursery School. My sister (great grandmom) is now day-sitting both he & his 5-month old sister. I offered to help by bringing Logan to my house for the day. One of the fun parts was showing him the toys with which both his Dad & Uncle played. While the morning was overcast, we played inside, including his playing my ‘player’ piano (No, I do not play - it plays itself with floppy disks- but quite charmingly). When the afternoon turned a sunny 70o, we took a 1+mile walk around my loopy cul-de-sac and thru the center courtyard climbing a few large boulders (Logan not me!), and over to the Farm. It’s a historic Farm, no sheep or cows, to Logan’s disappointment. But a found bamboo post in the garden became his new Stars Wars saber, and a prone Scarecrow (waiting to go upright w garden planting) was interesting, and more. Here we are in the Meditation Garden (thank goodness -I needed a brief rest, haha). It’s a delightful little hidden corner with Tibetan peace flags, a Buddha, monk and Jesus - which meant a little explanation on my part. He knows Jesus & angels, altho he was interested in why Jesus doesn’t have wings like heaven’s angels. But Buddha and the monk meant some conversation. All in all it was a truly delightful day with a truly remarkable young boy. Very nice!
