Trailside

An old shack along the W&OD trail. W. and I went out for some fresh air and walked west from the village of Paeonian Springs. Most of the trail is wooded, and we saw patches of miniature daffodils and what I think must be late blooming snowdrops (I didn't know snowdrops grew here, but thought I recognized them from blips this spring). The occasional houses one sees are either renovated old stone farmhouses or large modern homes in subdivisions that back up to the trail. A couple families were out playing or having bonfires in their back yards and we exchanged hearty waves. Anyway, the old shack was an anomaly. 

Another quiet day at home. Daughter I. spent hours online playing virtual D&D with friends - that was a good connection. I enjoyed looking up the falcon webcam link posted by Rosiecatwoman and also looked up the Eagle Cam in Washington DC, https://naeaglecam.org. I've been enjoying watching and listening to the birds (mostly the ones right outside my kitchen window) carry on with things.
