Quiz: No sychromesh on first? or second....?

Seen in Clifton a beautiful car in wonderful  condition with a world famous logo. But does it have synchromesh in any gears and when did it come in? 
And was it registered in Birmingham and what's it's relationship with a tractor...if any? And is synchromesh spelt like that.
