Mothering Sunday.
A photo of my mum when she was 21, (in 1941) which she sent to my dad who was stationed in London with the Army Pay Corps during the Blitz until he went across to France on D-Day 1944.
It’s hard for people who have been asked not to go and see their mothers today.
I always find it a poignant day having lost our first son Matt, 30 yrs old, in 2006.
Our other son Alan will be 36 this year.
Naturally they are at home. Our daughter-in-law’s mum doesn’t live far from them but she is staying away today from a social isolating point of view as she still works two days a week.
It is an absolutely beautiful day to lift the spirits.
We were “at” church virtually this morning at 10.30am. Live streaming is coming into it’s own for lots of places of worship.
Thanks to those who make it possible.
The extra is our view right now from the summerhouse.
