Self-isolation DAY 2
Went up the Pentland Hills this afternoon. Walked for about 2 and a half hours and it was pretty busy. Actually it was very busy. Though to be honest as Ann was practising 'social distancing' I don't think she came within 2 metres of anyone. I did?!!!! I have to say I don't 'jump up' at as many people as I did when I was a weeny teeny puppy. BUT yes, I still do random jumping up at people and it drives Ann mad.
Ann is in 'self-isolation mode'. There's nothing wrong with her but she just feels she should do her bit and not go out unless it is absolutely necessary.
Hmmmmmm.................. My walks are 'absolutely necessary'.
Oh & we'll be totally honest here and admit that we jumped on a bus at Fairmilehead to take us home. Ann has had a very sore foot for the last couple of months and after walking for more than 2 hours it was really hurting her. So when she checked the bus app and saw that a bus was due; she said, 'Trixie, you've had a really good walk and I really haven't got the energy to walk another couple of miles so lets just jump on the No. 11 bus. So that is what we did. There was one other person on the bus and the bus driver said that between Morningside & the terminus and then coming back again to where we were, only two people had got on the bus.
Thank goodness people seem to be listening to the government and not going on public transport.
Not so the rest of the country............................
We live in Edinburgh and apparently hoards of people are heading up to the Highlands in their camper-vans............ What part of non-essential travel do these people not understand???
And in Cornwall people are still arriving in their droves.............. What part of non-essential travel do these people not understand?
…................Oh well, ho hum, Ann feels like she's done her bit by not opening up her bookings for the time in April that she was going to be in St Ives.
Worrying times for all of us. Stay safe peeps. xxx
