Stunningly beautiful sunny day. Up early and after chatting to all the kids I headed over to Portobello beach and arrived when it was pretty empty. V called-obviously upset she won’t see her grandkids today-and we agreed to meet up. We walked all the way along the beach and back, chatting mainly about the pandemic and what might happen next....
It was starting to get busy, so after some ice cream we left. I was listening to ‘The other half of Augusta Hope’ on the walk-excellent and absorbing and I suspect Hazelh would enjoy it as it’s all about someone who loves words.
Worked and baked Easter biscuits in the afternoon, listening to the news that’s signalling even greater clampdowns on movements. It’s going to be so hard for those of us in flats without gardens.
