Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo)

Another lovely day weatherwise, we certainly need some after the weeks of interminable rain.   Being sensible I confined myself to the house and garden.   There is enough there to keep me out of mischief for a long time.

While I was working about I kept hearing a Buzzard calling.  I kept looking up but it was nowhere to be seen.  Eventually when we were sitting in the sun having a cuppa I spotted it circling on the thermals.  As always I didn't have the camera to hand so I dashed indoors.  By the time I came out it had drifted away.  Fortunately it drifted back a few minutes later.  It was very high up and this is a very tight crop so not the best shot.  When I choose a blip the chance of repeating it influences my decision, and this is one that is difficult to repeat.
