Flowers
Everything seems strange right now. I tried to get croissants this morning for my son for breakfast, but as I went in to the supermarket there was no fresh breads / croissants at all. I just turned round and left.
My kids got up around lunchtime. I made the most gorgeous brunch - toast, smashed avocado with mustard topped with scrambled eggs.
In the afternoon I worked on the back garden. Its become a real mess as I haven't had the time. I was clearing out brambles and trimming back the bushes. I filled an entire bin.
For dinner I made some sweet chilli salmon with plain rice and greek salad. Then spoke to my Mum over Whats App to wish her a happy mother's day. The card arrived, which was good.
The flowers are from my front garden. These gorgeous flowers share a tub with my strawberries, one gradually replaces the other.
The teenagers are beginning to struggle with boredom. I'm actively persuading them to avoid social contact. Its one thing me going to the shop - I need to go out anyway, I'll have to work - I have managed to avoid contact at work so far, but that is probably about to end. Refresher training sessions are being posted, so its likely I'll need to attend. While things in my world are still extraordinarily hectic, the needs of the front line may soon take precedence.
