Trenching.

Who was it suggested just laying the hose to the lower kitchen garden along the bottom of the overgrown field ditch?  Didn't they realise that 15 years of bunny activity on the ditch sides in the undergrowth would fill the ditch to 60 cm.  Now we want to tidy up the hedge and dig out the ditch, the pipe has got to be extracted by hand before we can get a digger on the job!  Yes, that is a 15cm diameter root grown over the top of it a few yards further up the picture.
