Bertha RIP

Sadly found this fellow dead in the coop this morning. He had been poorly but we thought he had recovered.
Bertha came to us a a chick with an almost cast-iron guarantee she was a hen. It took both us and Bertha some time to realise there had been a mistake, she was a late developer and did not cock-a-doodle-doo until well after "she" was fully grown. However "she" made up for lost time being very vocal and athletic with "her" companions.
"She" was a character and will be missed.
