Amazing.

Firstly, the weather today makes it so easy to forget the long, dark wet days of winter.
Secondly, that we are so fortunate to live in such a lovely part of the country.
And thirdly. Something of the scale of the floods that we've had surrounding us for so many weeks.
Photo one. This whole area was under water from the Severn flooding its banks until a matter of days ago. The normal level, as you can see, is some 12 feet below where the photo is taken from.
Photo two. Something of the perspective of the flooding with standing water still to drain from the fields to the left.
Photo three. Hard to believe that three Sundays ago, there was a matter of inches between the water level and the top of the bridge arch.
Spare a thought for our struggling farmers.
