From my yoga mat
This is the view from my yoga mat.
'Yoga, as union is the perfect harmony of body, mind and spirit.'
'The practice of yoga is a process of self-discovery. It is an awakening of long-somnolent memories of who and what we really are: within ourselves, an integral whole; externally, an integral part of all that is.'
Sri Kriyananda
I took Harris to Colney Woods today and we didn't see a soul. What bliss, as I was able to just be with myself and our Little Man. We could both enjoy everything around us, through all of our senses.
As we walked, I was thinking about my yoga practice and the importance for me of living in the moment. Yoga teaches us to do that through posture work and breath practice.
Dogs also teach us, that all we have is the 'here and now'. Harris reinforces this learning for me every single day. Whenever I begin to worry about what will happen to our Little Man as he moves towards his end of life, he reminds me that nothing else matters apart from this very moment.
At this moment, I sit here with a cuppa, writing my Blib with Harris in his bed at my feet and Mr H reading his paper and listening to the radio.
All is well.
Thanks for reading my musings!
