So near, so far

We took the dogs and our baby out for a walk earlier. It wasn't a great success. Baby behaved beautifully but the girls were fractious and I am emotional. Hubby got his 80% cards today. No work for at least a few weeks. I am upset because I came down to be with the girls and spend quality time with grand baby. and its ended up being a big stress. Baby is oblivious , beautiful in every way. The rest of us are wrung out. It's a long way home..hope its straightforward. We knew lockdown was imminent but a little notice would have helped. New Zealand gave 2 days notice..

So a long 11 hour drive home, roads were empty on the way down so expect it will be an easy drive home. But I wanted to kidnap them all and take them home with me..

Strange days and I miss my hubby. Years ago we said we weren't going to do this again. Still here we are....
