A Scottish Soldier

I always think of a one Cpl. Robert Cockburn when I see this statue. I often stroke its feet, but don't tell anyone ;0)
He used to sing this to me, still brings a lump to my throat when I listen to the words. He was a very special grandad, and I miss him from time to time.

The 15th Scottish Division helped liberate Tilburg on 27th October, 1944, the statue comemmorates this. Grandad wasn't one of them, he was a policeman in London at the time, but I rather like the fact that my adopted home town has a Scottish link. Makes it feel that we're made for each other.
