Ain't neighbours .....
..... good!
This morning I decided something had to be done about the grass. Looking like a field ready for a mow, no way could I use a mower on it. So out comes the strimmer and three quarters through it stopped working . I disconnected it from the current and tried to get the wire out, I could see the end but no way would it release , nothing to do but clean it and have a word with " A" 1.25 pm! Where was he, not taking care I'll be bound hey ho , say no more. However the job had to be abandoned . I was sad about that I wanted to get it finished.
Then my lovely daughter came up with my prescription and a few luxury 's ! Who ever would have thought a tin of soup & jam tarts would be luxury's. But K had made me lemon cake too, bless her. I just love everyone being so nice and kind to each other may it last.
My other neighbour called over as I was doing the grass we exchanged Tel no.'s . As K had just done a delivery I'm quite ok for more than a few days. With 2 neighbours offering help I feel secure .
It's another beautiful day , should be at the coast or NT , at the moment this is not possible the more we obey the rules the quicker this is likely to end.
Let's think of ALL the front line workers and make there jobs as easy as can be in this state of emergency.
Just a little giggle - - - - ( now in this day and age it would be distasteful??)
When my brothers (18 months between them) were about 8/9 they took a man's dog out for a walk , now my older brother was a bit naughty , egging his brother on to be so too. They tied centre of a rope to the dogs collar , one stood on one pavement ( brother 1) and ( brother 2 ) on the other side. The dog now being in the middle of the road. They ran up and down , the dog just loved it . We lived in a quite road with only the occasional horse and cart , usually the " rag and bone man" , seen. Mr Wilks never found out about his dog being walked like that. But hey ho they were all safe and the dog enjoyed the fun. For a week of taking the dog out they were given a penny between them. No one got hurt , it was just a childish prank.
Grateful ..... for such kind people and those who put themselves on the front line , thank you all.
Keep safe everyone
